You can salary package items you usually claim through your tax return. By paying for them from your pre tax salary, you get the tax benefit right away, rather than having to wait until you do your tax return.

You'll get exactly the same amount as you'd claim, but without the delay. It's a 'timing' benefit that gives you a little more money throughout the year.

Items that can be salary packaged include:

Home office expenses
Professional association fees
Work related self education expenses
Income protection

To salary package these items, simply provide Selectus with a tax invoice for the expense, and we'll arrange for these amounts to be deducted from your pre tax salary. Selectus then reimburses these tax-free deductions into your personal bank account.
