The recommended retail price of the Commodore VE11 SV6 Sportwagon. Sports Auto is $51,790. However, Selectus sources vehicles at fleet discounts, so John would only have to finance $37,704 if he salary packaged the vehicle via a novated lease! This saving is the result of the fleet discount provided through Selectus plus savings on the GST on the purchase price.

Novated leasing process

Buying a new car through a Novated Lease is not difficult when you deal with Selectus. Our Leasing Consultants will assist you through the process and take away all the hard work. Where relevant, Selectus has set up a procedure with your employer establishing the conditions under which you will be eligible to salary package a novated lease.

In summary, the process will work as follows:
1. You contact the Selectus' Call Centre or they receive a response after requesting contact through the web page or from an employee information post-session response form.
2. The concept and benefits of novated leasing discussed between you and the leasing consultant.
3. The vehicle pricing is obtained from the market by Selectus.
4. A lease and operating cost budget is prepared by Selectus and sent to you with an accompanying Salary Comparison.
5. You consider and if satisfied, accept and signs the quote, completing the relevant finance application.
6. If necessary, Selectus may need to communicate with the employer to confirm eligibility for you to obtain a Novated Lease and the sacrifice amount.
7. Selectus arranges finance.
8. Upon approval of finance Selectus orders vehicle.
9. Lease documents prepared by Selectus, forwarded to you and your Employer for execution.
10. The lease is settled by the financier remitting purchase price to dealer.
11. Vehicle is delivered to the employee.
